Peeps as part of a Classic Animated Disney Movie
(pre-2000)
Congratulations to this year’s winner – Peeptasia

Welcome to the annual (2020 and counting) Delbert Family Peeps Diorama Contest.
How do you enter?
Since the Washington Post started their Peeps diorama contest, it’s become an Easter tradition now to see what amazing entries they get. We don’t live in the DC-Virginia-Maryland area so we couldn’t enter the contest, however, we decided to start our own friends and family contest to see who could make the best diorama.
Check out the Washington post rules to see what people have done. The picture above is from 2013’s Washington Post contest where the winner mourned the passing of Hostess Corporation and the iconic Twinkie snack.
How does it work?
- Base a diorama idea on the general theme for 2020 which is Peeps as part of a Classic animated Disney movie, pre-2000.
Peeps as part of a classic animated Disney movie is essentially a depiction of the famous marshmallow treats as part of the movie, for example Snow Peep, or Beauty and the Peep.
- The one rule is that all the forms (human or animal) in the diorama must be Peeps.
- Just about anyone is eligible (except me). Feel free to pass it along to your friends if you want.
- Teams are welcome. Only one prize is given so figure out how to split it (and the Peeps) yourself.
How to enter:
Step 1: Use a box
Make your diorama using a shoebox or a comparable item of reasonable size. Use those fluffy chicks and bunnies to bring your creative vision to life. If you don’t know how to make a diorama, do an Internet search for “how to make a diorama.” Remember, all entries must conform to the theme for this year.
Step 2: Take photos of your diorama
Take photos of your completed diorama from several angles. You may enter as an individual or family.
Step 3: Send us your photos
Send no more than two photos as high-resolution jpeg attachments to delbertpeeps@gmail.com. Put “Peeps” in the subject line, or risk being ignored as spam.
Within the text of the e-mail, include your name, daytime phone number, diorama title and any necessary information about its significance or creation.
How to win:
Photo submissions are due by Friday, April 10th, 2020, at 11:59 p.m Pacific. The dioramas will be then be posted on this site for voting by whoever wants to vote. Voting ends at 11:59pm on Saturday, April 18th, 2020. We will publish the winner on Sunday, April 19th. The grand prize winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card and a box of Peeps courtesy of The Delberts, the family that is sponsoring this contest.
